What a remap does for a diesel BMW 7 Series
The gains from remapping a diesel come from the engine management software rather than new parts: injection, boost and torque limits are re-mapped, which is why torque improves most and why the car often feels easier to drive at lower revs.
BMW 745d 330 (e65) against other 7 Series engines
Ranked by power gain against the other diesel 7 Series engines (8 in total), the 745d 330 (e65) is 1st, 13 bhp above the 7 Series diesel average of 37 bhp.
Across our whole catalogue the average diesel remap adds 34 bhp and 73 Nm, so this engine's 50 bhp and 105 Nm sits at or above that benchmark.
